Amazing Facts about Tony Humphries

1.    Tony is a 17 year veteran of NY radio:
A 20 year veteran of NY Clubs.
A 17 year veteran of the recording studio.
The first show aired on WXLO 99XFM    July 11, 1981
It was a four hour show from 10pm -2am, mixed Tony Humphries and Shep Pettibone.
It was created from one, two one hundred twenty cassettes transferred from reel to reel.
Officially hired at KISS_FM RKO Radio replacing Shep Pettibone as Producer and chief mixer of the   Master mix Dance Parties, September 23 1982.  Joined HOT 97FM 12/19.94 “Sound of the Underground” along with Glenn Friscia and Hosh Gureli.  Replaced David Morales two hour Saturday rotation on the station.
Radio show was selected as one of New York City’s best by Time Out, New York 6/19/96.

2.    Member of FOR THE RECORD. A record pool 11/9/84 #73.
3.    Moved to London, January 6, 1993.
4.    Took up residency at the Ministry of Sound, January 8th 1993.
5.    During his apprenticeship at KISS-FM, Tony featured a promising new artist every week.
6.    Left Club Zanzibar, November 4th 1990.  On that last night the club closed at 6:30pm the next evening.
7.    Received Billboard Award for the “Best DJ” at the Winter Music Conference, 1992.
8.    Officially moved to NJ, 1984-85.
9.    Received 1st Gold record for remix of “Last Night A DJ Saved My Life” – Indeep, 1983.

12.    Awarded Resolution from the city of Newark, June 5, 1991.
13.    Received Gold record for the remix of “Juicy Fruit” – Mtume, 1983.
14.    Received Gold record for the remix of “Secret Rendezvous” – Karen White, 1989.
15.    Received UK gold record for the remix of D-Mob’s “That’s The Way Of The World”, 1989.
16.    Done 10 CD remix projects for Strictly Rhythm Records, 1992-97.
